Steps to book a Camp

  1. Schedule an appointment with us
    We get to know each other on a video call or physical meeting. We present our core camp concepts, you share the needs and demographics of your target group. Then optionally you can have a virtual or physical tour through our site. Contact Us Now
  2. Review the timetable
    We will prepare a custom timetable draft for a camp according to your specifics and discuss it together with you. See Example Timetables from past School Camps
  3. Sign contract
    We will sign a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding outlining all the booked contents, our quality standards as well as responsibilities of the parties. Our experience has shown that this procedure ensures sure both parties have the same expectations. Download Memorandum Template

Makunduchi Village Trip

Makunduchi is a fascinating fishermen village which isn't touched too much by tourism, characterized by its red earth soil and mango trees. Also you will find two rather large slab buildings ("majenzi") which look like they've dropped right out of former East Germany here - because they were actually built by East Germany. Find out how during this trip.

This trip includes:
  • Visit Viboriborini and enter the Hollow Baobab Tree
  • See Majenzi, hear why they were built by East Germany, and enter one of its flats
  • Visit the most unique souvenir shop on the island and drink a tea there
  • Beach visit and learn about a failed NGO

Spice & Stone Town Tour

Zanzibar is famous for its spices. Get to see how they're grown on a spice plantation and see how they are harvested.

Then you get to see Stone Town, including the Old Fort and the Slave Market, accompanied by a professional tour guide.

This trip includes:

Boat Rafting Bwejuu

The mangrove forest lives with the tide. At low tide it's a swamp, at high tide the trees are under water. When the tide changes, the water flows out, almost like a river - in which we will raft with 2-person-Standup-Puddle boats. After we leave the mangrove forest, we will go for safari blue (snorkeling) to see fish around the coral stones.


This trip includes:

Zanzibar Home Tour & Cooking

First we will dress you in traditional Zanzibarian clothes. Women get dressed in colorful clothes called Kangas with Swahili proverbs written on them, men will be given a Kanzu (a white dress) and a Zanzibari hat.

Dressed like Zanzibarians, you will buy food at a local market, and at the same time learn how to bargain the prices. We will use public transport called daladala to go to the market and back home. The word daladala comes from dollar because it costs less than one dollar to use the public transport anywhere.

Then you will cook with a local family using a local stove with firewood, and enjoy your meal with your hosts. Then you can take a tour through the village and also visit a school, where you can talk with students.

This trip includes:
  • dress in traditional Zanzibarian clothes (Kanga, Kanzu and Hofia Hat)
  • travel with local public transport (daladala car)
  • learn how to bargain prices whilst buying food on the local market
  • cook and eat a meal together with a local family
  • visit the nearby village including the school, and talk to students

Fishing Trip

As early as 5am we get on the fishermen boat to drive out to the sea, where we will catch fish with fishing rods from 6am to 8am. Then, back to the shore, we will descale and clean the fish together with the fishermen.

Basic Electronics

In this course, children learn the foundations of electronics using a fun and safe Electronic Building Blocks Kit. They explore how circuits work through hands-on activities and simple projects designed for young learners. The sessions help them develop problem‑solving, creativity, and confidence while building real electronic models such as lights, fans, alarms, and more.

Discovery Workshop – Understanding Science

In small groups (max. 10–12 children), young researchers experience fundamental physical phenomena through hands-on experimentation: Forces & Motion (air pressure, levers, angular momentum) Optics & Light Phenomena and much more. Creative Discovery & Dexterity Training
In this workshop, children will learn simple yet fascinating magic tricks from a professional. All props can be found in any ordinary household.
Content:

The art program will involve three main categories where children can learn, build confidence, and improve their creativity skills. These activities will help children develop their imagination, fine motor skills, and self-expression.

During the camp, children will explore:
  1. Marbling Art – A colorful and exciting activity where children create unique abstract patterns using paint and water techniques. This helps improve fine motor skills and color understanding.
  2. Painting – Children decorate wooden pieces with themes such as ocean life, animals, African patterns, or their names. This help children to improve there creativities.
  3. Clay Craft – Children shape small animals, cups, or decorative objects. Clay work enhances creativity, patience, and hand coordination.
Finally, at the end of the camp, the children will present their artwork to you to show the skills they have developed during the camp period.

Have you ever tried to trade? In this real time game, you will produce stone, wood, or food and trade it with your friends. Make sure to negotiate hard to get a good price for your goods. This is a real time trading game for 12 to 32 players

Werewolf

although known by different names in different countries (e.g. Werewolf in Germany, Mafia in Russia, Ktulu in Poland, etc.) - this game always has the same structure: two teams with hidden identity compete by trying to find out who is in the other team

Stratego Terrain Game

“Stratego the Terrain Game EE” is a real-time outdoor strategy game. Each team member must master its secret role as well as team communication and planning skills, since the available information increases as the game develops. An insane and unique mix of strategy, bluffs, teamwork and “capture the flag”.

No Need for Talent Show

This is an opportunity for campers to present a particular skill or talent of theirs in front of the audience. This will boost their self- confidence and make them more comfortable of holding presentations. It's called "No Need for Talent Show" because you don't need a Talent to present anything.

Super Secret Surprise Game

in this game, some players know the rules, whilst others don't. The players who don't know the rules ask the others yes/no questions. Somehow the answers don't seem to make any sense at first, until you recognize the pattern.

Professional Proximity Training
All our Young Leaders and Campus Staff attend at least 3 days of Training on Professional Proximity, Communication, and basic Pedagogy.
First Aid Training
All our Young Leaders receive a First Aid Training. Also, we are only 10 minutes drive to the next hospital in case of medical emergencies.
Background Check
All employees are required to provide a police clearance certificate upon hiring. Also, the suitability of staff is ensured through extensive job interviews and internal training.
Regular Water Testing
Since we have our own deep wells on each Campi, our tap water is drinkable. It is tested weekly with rapid tests.
Gated Compounds
Both our campi are walled and gated. Campers do not leave the Campus alone, and they report to a team member before leaving.
Transport Procedure
Before boarding and disembarking any vehicle, a head count is performed to ensure no camper gets lost.
